Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.

A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated over $28 million to the ASPCA and through Subaru Loves Pets has helped support the rescue, transport, adoption and well-being of over 230,000 animals across the country.

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Since 2018, Subaru has partnered with TerraCycle.  Participating Subaru retailers collect hard-to-recycle trash that was headed to local landfills. We collect approximately 2 tons of this hard-to-recycle trash monthly, which will be converted to furnishings and other usable items and donated locally.

It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.

Since 2015 Subaru, in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement Science, donated over 277,600 award-winning science books.  In addition, through our partnerships with Staples and we supported teachers and students with donations of S400,000 in gift cards and school supplies.

In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

In 2020, Subaru and its retailers made a donation to Feeding America to provide 50 million meals to help feed people in need during the COVID-19 crisis,* making meals available at 199 local food banks across the country.
*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.

We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.

Since 2016, Subaru and its retailers have partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to donate over 167,000 blankets and 21,500 arts & crafts kits and reached nearly 150,000 patients in more than 780 hospitals nationwide.

Love Promise Stories from LaRiche Subaru

Subaru and LaRiche Subaru believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here

LaRiche Subaru Supports Our Community  –  Laurie P

LaRiche Subaru owners Bob and Tiare LaRiche are exceptional community stewards. Year after year they support the Hope House through the annual auction which raises funds for the women's shelter that provides transitional housing for women and women with children. Without the support of local businesses like LaRiche Subaru and their commitment to not only provide goods and services for our fundraisers, but also to attend and participate, we could not continue doing the work we do here at Hope House. We are so thankful for their generous spirit and commitment to the community.

Hancock Literacy's Spelling Bee  –  Shannon A

LaRiche Family of Dealerships has been a proud major sponsor of Hancock Literacy's Spelling Bee for several years. Each year, they support our annual fundraiser and provide a team for the event. Bob and John also attend the fun event and present the winning trophy to the winning team. All of the funds raised at our Spelling Bee go towards our mission, to coordinate and support community initiatives that promote lifelong literacy. We are so appreciative of their support and participation in our event. It truly shows they care about our community!

Wobble and Wine: Four Legs and Eggs – Meg R  –  Meg R

Wobble and Wine would like to thank LaRiche Subaru for their support. Wobble and Wine events are created to raise awareness for Canine Wobbler Syndrome and to help raise funding for Captain’s Salute, a charitable fund for dogs with Wobbler Syndrome. LaRiche Subaru was part of the first ever Wobble and Wine Event this past September with their generous donations of tote bags, dog potty bags and raffle prizes. At our most recent event titled Four Legs and Eggs, LaRiche Subaru was one of our Major Sponsors. Bob LaRiche was kind enough to request the dog tag machine and his employees were at the event making custom dog tags for our furry community members. For this event, LaRiche Subaru also donated tote bags for the Easter Egg Hunt and dog potty bags. Four Legs and Eggs had a great turnout and was a successful event! We are so thankful for our sponsors who helped make this event possible. Funds raised from Four Legs and Eggs were donated to Teddy’s Rescue and Captain’s Salute. Thank you, LaRiche Subaru, for “proudly investing in your community”!

Helping survivors of domestic violence  –  Ashley R

LaRiche Subaru in Findlay donated Share the Love funds to the Council on Domestic Violence Inc. DBA: Open Arms Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services. Open Arms is the only domestic violence and rape crisis agency in our community. Thanks to the support of LaRiche and the Share the Love Campaign we are able to ensure survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in our community receive 24/7 crisis intervention response through our hotline, emergency room advocacy, and emergency shelter. Thank you to Share the Love for loving our community and ensuring survivors are not alone in times of crisis.

LLS Loves LaRiche Subaru  –  KERRI P

Emergency shelter for domestic violence victims  –  Ashley R

LaRiche Subaru donated $10,283 to Open Arms Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services. These funds will allow us to provide safe and secure emergency shelter housing to 10 adults and 20 children in our community fleeing from domestic violence in the home. We are the only agency in our community providing these life-saving services and thanks to LaRiche we are able to ensure victims and their children have a safe place to stay.

United Way Calvert Cup  –  Tyler N

I would like to thank Bob LaRiche of LaRiche Subaru for the continued support of the annual United Way Calvert Cup. The generous donations he provides on behalf of LaRiche Subaru for the chuck-a-puck gift, contribute to the continued success and overall donations we are able to provide to the United Way of Hancock County. The event this year raised over $3500, and to date, the event has raised over $23,000. Thanks again for your help supporting the community!

LaRiche delivers hot meals & smiles!  –  Angie B

This is the fifth year Wood County Committee on Aging (WCCOA) has partnered with LaRiche Subaru for the Subaru Share the Love event. Employees from the dealership assisted with the delivery of the home delivered meals, for our Holiday Lunch, in the North Baltimore Area. LaRiche provided new Subarus for the day to deliver the meals. The homebound older adults look forward to this meal and their visit from the Subaru employees. With the help of Subaru and Meals on Wheels of America (MOWA) we are able to raise awareness of the importance of a hot, nutritious meal to our older, frail clients. Until the end of the year, Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the customer's choice of participating charity, including MOWA.

WCCOA and LaRiche Subaru have had a special partnership over the past several years. Subaru Loves Learning-Riley Elementary  –  Kelly W

As a 1st and 2nd grade teacher, there is SO much time and energy spent on lesson planning and making learning fun for students. Not to mention, the amount of money that teacher's spend on their own to find materials and supplies to help their students learn the best! My students and I were blessed this fall by being "adopted" by LaRiche Toyota Subaru. Their donation of money, supplies, and materials have already greatly helped out and will continue throughout the year. We can't thank you enough for the time and money you have given to further the education of our community's learners! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Donating To Those In Need  –  Casey P

Annual Buzzzz... Spelling Bee Challenge!  –  Casey P

Buzz.. Remember back in grad school you had to take those silly spelling bee challenges? I bet you didn't know at that time you could be part of a group started by Dolly Parton in 1995 to help raise educational support to children. Making A Difference: Dolly's Imagination Library became so popular that in the year 2000 she announced that she would make the program available for replication to any community that was willing to partner with her to support it locally. Since the initial program launch in the United States, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has gone from just a few dozen books to over 60,000,000 books mailed to children in the United States, into Canada and across the proverbial pond into the United Kingdom! Already statistics and independent reports have shown Dolly Parton's Imagination Library drastically improves early childhood literacy for children enrolled in the program. Further studies have shown improved scores during early literacy testing. LaRiche is so proud to be invested in this program; they're now Findlay's top sponsor for the annual Spelling Bee challenge by the Literacy Coalition of Hancock County. This year the challenge was held at Findlay's First Presbyterian Church on 4/28/15.

Walk A Mile In Her Shoes  –  Casey P

In image: Our LaRiche beauties showing their support in the award-winning "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" annual march to stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence, etc. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Event is a playful opportunity for men to raise awareness in their community about the serious causes. LaRiche couldn't be more "Proudly Invested!"

Share The Love Event  –  Jodi D

The staff and Board of Directors at Open Arms Domestic Violence & Rape Crisis Services were absolutely astounded to receive over $10,000 from The Subaru Share the Love event and LaRiche Toyota Subaru! Thank you so much for the amazing generosity and community minded spirit!

LaRiche Subaru Proudly Partners with Wood County Committee  –  Chris W

LaRiche Subaru has partnered with Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc again to help fight senior isolation and hunger by distributing meals to older adults in southern Wood County. This event happened December 11th, 2014. Meals were loaded up into the backs of 2 Foresters for delivery. Associates from LaRiche drove around with a co-pilot from the North Baltimore Senior Center to distribute meals. The event raised community awareness and participation to support local seniors in need. This local effort is part of the Meals on Wheels Association of America's participation in the Subaru of America, Inc's national year-end "Share the Love" event, designed as a way for Subaru retailers to give back to their local communities. For every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from November 20, 2014 through January 2, 2015, Subaru will donate $250 to the purchaser's choice of participating organizations. By the end of this, the seventh "Share the Love" event, Subaru will have donated $50 million to charity over the past six years - including the delivery of one million meals to seniors in need.
